Exercise on the treadmill, recumbent bike
and arm ergometer. Typically, we begin with 5 minutes
on each machine and continue to increase the number of
minutes by one each day/session, as long as you can tolerate
that. We start out slow and move at a slow pace that's
comfortable for you and build up from there.
Your pulse and oxygen level are checked
before, during and after exercise; while your blood pressure
is checked before and after exercise.
You are eligible to meet with a nutritionist
and discuss appropriate diet techniques. Handouts about
various pulmonary/lung related topics are also available.
Teach and encourage breathing techniques
that help when you get short of breath. Includes, pursed
lip and diaphragmatic breathing.

Program Schedule
Pulmonary Rehabilitation is a ten week program, 2 times per
week, Tuesday and Thursday.
