Northwest Medical Partners/PROHEALTH Center is a 40,000 sq. ft. corporate complex that houses a full range of comprehensive medical, fitness,and rehabilitative services.  The complex and the services offered represent the dream of its founder and owner, Dr. Nelson Gardner.  Dr. Gardner's dream was to have health care professionals, in addition to providing modern medical care, and also provide the means and support for people to develop and maintain a healthy lifestyle.  In the summer of 2001, the dream became a reality when Northwest Medical Partners/PROHEALTH Center opened its doors.  Since that time, PROHEALTH Center has continued to grow with a 6,000 sq. ft. expansion to the complex in 2004, and an outdoor pool to be added in the summer of 2005.  The corporate complex includes:

		Comprehensive medical facility
		Heated indoor lap pool with adjacent hot tub
		Regulation size basketball court
		Indoor walking track
		Locker rooms with saunas
		Tumbling gym
		Nursery
		Two aerobic studios
		Rehabilitation department
		5000 sq. ft. strength and cardiac workout area.

In addition to addressing health and wellness needs of the community, PROHEALTH Center has been active in the community and in the schools.  Their involvement includes the following:

		Winner of the 2003 Business in Education Award by the Greater Mt. Airy Chamber of Commerce
		Over 200 volunteer hours in the schools
		Providing high school and college internships
		Providing health care professionals at local high school sporting events
		High schools using the facilities for advanced physical education classes.
